BY OPERATORS, FOR OPERATORS

Write for Freakyyy

We are sourcing trench-tested knowledge, not content for content’s sake.

If you want to publish another "10 ways to start a business," generic productivity hacks, or articles written purely to farm engagement, stop reading. AI can already produce an endless supply of that noise. Freakyyy is looking for something much harder to find: raw, useful intelligence from people who have actually been close to the problem.

You do not need to be a recognized expert, a consultant, or a professional writer. You might be a founder, a supplier, a technician, a salesperson, or simply an operator who found a way to bypass a broken system.

Who Are You Writing For?

Our readership is heavily concentrated across Southeast Asia, but geography does not limit our contributors. We only care if the knowledge is useful to the operators reading it.

Think about a founder building with limited resources. A previously overlooked supplier arrangement, a ruthless negotiation tactic, or a process change that eliminates unnecessary costs is genuinely valuable. We want to publish:

  • Ways to execute a process significantly better.
  • Mechanisms, markets, or commercial opportunities most people do not know exist.

An insight does not need to disrupt an entire industry to matter. It just needs to give another operator a weapon they did not have before.

What We Are Looking For

Freakyyy is an operator-led studio. We know there is no single playbook for building a business. Markets, cultures, and incentives all differ. What crushes it in one environment fails completely in another.

We want intelligence that challenges accepted assumptions or reveals an option most people are too conditioned to consider:

  • A standard process you scrapped because the conventional method was a bloated waste of time.
  • A negotiation approach that forced a materially different outcome.
  • A harsh reality about a market that outsiders completely misunderstand.
  • An overlooked workaround that removed a massive operating constraint.
  • A spectacular failure—and the hidden mechanic that failure revealed.

Do not try to prove your way is universally perfect. Tell us what worked, why it worked, under what exact circumstances, and where it would completely fall apart.

What We Reject

We do not commission:

  • Generic business advice or recycled thought leadership.
  • Summaries of information already easily Googled.
  • Articles written primarily for SEO or engagement metrics.
  • Promotional fluff disguised as insight.
  • Unsupported claims presented as fact.

A Freakyyy piece must leave an operator knowing something they could not have found anywhere else.

The Pitch

If you have something that belongs in our ecosystem, email hello@freakyyy.com with a pitch under 200 words. You do not need to send a finished draft. Just tell us:

  1. What did you discover?
  2. What is the standard, accepted "normal" approach?
  3. What did you observe or do differently?
  4. Why does this matter, and how can another operator actually use it?

The Format & The Pay

While we do not force a rigid word count or a corporate template, we do have a very specific editorial rhythm. We want pieces that tear down an industry myth, expose the structural trap, provide a boots-on-the-ground solution, and close with dense, actionable takeaways.

To see exactly what we consider a winning submission, read these:

Commissioned contributions start at US$80.

We pay for knowledge worth sharing, not fluff. Rates scale higher for pieces involving deep research, original evidence, specialist knowledge, or unusual operational access. We will agree on any higher fee before the work is commissioned, and our team will work directly with you to clarify your argument and sharpen the tone before publication.
